About the Event

Since 2018, the New Taipei City Government has continuously hosted the International Smart City Forum, focusing on a people-centered approach to advancing diverse smart technology applications. This annual event has become an important diplomatic platform for New Taipei City to connect with international digital governance, technological sustainability, and global innovation networks. Through public-private collaboration and cross-border exchanges among government, industry, and academia, New Taipei City has continued to showcase its policy achievements and has received numerous awards in international smart city evaluations.

Today, as cities around the world compete to advance digital transformation, resilient governance has evolved from a vision into a critical capability for urban survival and sustainable development. The 2026 New Taipei City International Smart City Forum, themed “Resilient New Taipei: AI Digital Twin,” will focus on the Sanchong Second Administration Center, including its AI data center, as the core topic of discussion. The forum highlights New Taipei City Government’s strategic efforts to promote urban upgrading and future development through Smart City and Digital Resilience initiatives.

This initiative symbolizes New Taipei City’s formal transition in urban governance, moving beyond traditional data digitization toward a new dimension of AI-powered virtual-physical integration and off-site backup resilience.
